The S/PRO Alpha 100 looks set to shoot to the top of the best sellers list for lower volume boots aimed at intermediate and advanced skiers, all thanks to a re-work of the buckle positions on the foot. By increasing the distance between the first two buckles, and altering the angle of the instep clip, Salomon have increased the heel hold, made entry and exit easier and, most importantly, reduced potential pressure spots over the instep. This is an area that had until now been notoriously hard to adjust if there is pressure. Personalisation is easy to achieve with a fully custom moulded HD shell and Custom Fit 3D Performance liner, both fitted in store to achieve maximum comfort, and numerous buckle placement options on the leg and 3D Instep clip. Performance comes thanks to the race inspired shell, snug fit and a thick 35mm power strap.
