The Leki Wanderfreund Makalu is a lightweight, durable, and reliable single pole ideal for walking in the hills or city. Its T-shape handle with a rubber Aergomed grip provides a comfortable surface to hold and includes a wrist loop for security. Leki's Speed Lock 2 locking system makes adjusting the pole quick and easy. The Flex Tip Short features a hardwearing carbide tip. We recommend using it with the rubber Trekking Pad on pavements or rocky surfaces for added shock absorption. The Wanderfreund Makalu also includes Nordic baskets, which help stop the pole from sinking into soft ground.
